The IPC Children’s Ministry serves all children ages kindergarten through fifth grade and their families. The overall purpose in the IPC Children’s Ministry is two fold: 1) To teach, encourage and knit together our covenant children and their families in love, so that they will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty. 2) To provide a clear understanding of God’s word through age appropriate instruction, worship, outreach and special events.

Sunday School (Click HERE for a listing of classes and rooms)
Our Sunday school program runs from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning for kindergarten through fifth grade. The core of the children’s Bible learning occurs during this hour as they study a comprehensive survey of the Bible over a three-year period. The fourth and fifth grades do a two-year study of The Chronicles of Narnia.

Kindergarten aged children gather at 8:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. for a special time of worship where they experience stories from the Bible, participate in-group activities, watch puppet shows, give their offerings and memorize scripture. Click here for a listing of classes and rooms

Children in first and second grades gather at 8:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. to learn about and participate in corporate worship, so that in third grade they will be able to worship in a more meaningful way with our adult congregation. They also learn the Children’s Shorter Catechism in a fun and exciting way during this hour.

C.I.A. (Christ In Action) – Service Oriented Group for Kids
This program, which meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. September through April, encourages children to actively live out their faith and the faith of their parents within their church, family and community. The hour consists of singing, hearing the Word of God, praying and then breaking up into “Secret Service” Groups. These groups do many different things such as, write cards and letters to our sick, our homebound and our missionaries, roll silverware for Wednesday night dinners and special events and sharpen pencils in our sanctuary. It also serves as a great opportunity for children to invite their friends to church.

“THAT THING” – Action Packed Youth Group for Kids
Elementary aged children and their friends are invited to a fun-filled hour of group games, door prizes, singing and a brief presentation of the gospel. “That Thing” meets on a Sunday night once a month September through April and then every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. May through August. This is a great time for fellowship and outreach.

Summer Programs
The Children’s Ministry sponsors a variety of programs throughout the summer. Children have the opportunity to be involved with our “Dive-In” programs, which are weekly swim events hosted by IPC parents. These events encourage the children to dive into God’s word and into the swimming pool with their friends. The children can also come and bring their friends to Lasertron, Putt-Putt and Art Camp.

Special Events
Throughout the year there are Special Events planned for our children, including CampPalmer, Vacation Bible School, a Fall Kick-off Carnival and a Fun Family Hoe Down with a live band and square dance caller. Our Special Events focus on outreach and evangelism.

Cub and Boy Scouts
IPC’s Pack 81 sponsors Den Meetings weekly Septmber through early May. Monthly Pack Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Romper Room. The Scouting Program is a great outreach to our community and is open to all boys in grades one through twelve. Den Meetings Times/Rooms:
